I still think it's kind of shiny, and kind of nice. Wasn't too sure about that whole ''story'' thing though.
In internet time, this is positively ancient, but here goes: Tron
Legacy. Cute movie, awesome visuals, fascinating soundtrack, horrible storyline. Most people
were disappointed by the fact that this wasn't the long-awaited new
Daft Punk album to rock out at parties, but I still think that as a
movie soundtrack, it goddamn did the job!
This one was also nice, bringing some necessary sense of gloom and dread to the proceedings while giving some texture to the universe they were attempting to build.
And who can forget the best piece on all the soundtrack, possessed of a strong sense of melancholy and longing, with a powerful bass line and a thumping beat?
Jabup - Fireflies
Except it was a fake. One of the best I have ever heard. Someone ''leaked'' it on the net before the movie was out, saying it was from the soundtrack. It got a couple of hundred thousand views before the truth came out. Still an excellent piece, and well worth your time.
And finally, as an added bonus, here's something that wasn't included on the soundtrack. The End of Line club's pulsing background music.
